Practical Ministry

Practical Ministry is another important requirement for completing B.D. degree. This is credited in the new Serampore system, See page 32 of B.D. Syllabus book for the details. Besides Senate recommended concurrent and intensive practical work, MBCBC expects all students to participate in the “Field Education” of MBCBC on Monday/Fridays/Saturdays.Field Education/ Integrated practical work is an important component of MBCBC training program from its inception. This is to help the student to appreciate the environment, express our gratitude to God for his creation and stay close to the nature by caring the earth.

THREE levels of Practical work

Intensive Practical Work: Apart from the regular weekly field work, students are expected to do 20 days Intensive Practical work according to the Senate requirement. All the students except Orientation students, they should do practical work. BD Orientation students have to visit different church traditions be sides observe and learn various liturgy and litany of other denominations.
Summer Work: Except BD Orientation, all the students should do one month in summer i.e. from April to June.
